Deep Focus Records is proud to announce our debut release, a horror double feature from the first season of Tales From Beyond The Pale: The Hole Digger by Larry Fessenden and Trawler by Glenn McQuaid.
The pair of chilling audio dramas will be released in a limited edition of 500 copies with hand-stamped gold foil numbering on two vinyl records in a gatefold sleeve! The first 100 copies will be colored vinyl (red/black mix for The Hole Digger and clear/blue mix for Trawler).
The Hole Digger
It was the summer that everything changed, that summer in Cape Cod when me and my brother first found the hole dug down in the dunes in front of our house. Whether it was for a grave or a treasure, that hole changed our lives for good.
Larry Fessenden’s haunting tale stars James Le Gros (DRUGSTORE COWBOY, LIVING IN OBLIVION, POINT BLANK) and Owen and Tobias Campbell (BITTER FEAST, CONVICTION), and features Kevin Corrigan (BUFFALO '66, THE DEPARTED, PINEAPPLE EXPRESS), Heather Robb (HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, STAKE LAND) and Joel Garland (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, I SELL THE DEAD).
Something lurks out there in the salty brine...
Glenn McQuaid’s bizarre tale of mayhem and menace on the high seas, TRAWLER takes us to the edge of sanity and beyond the pale.
Featuring the voice talents of Christopher Denham (SHUTTER ISLAND, HEADSPACE), AJ Bowen (THE SIGNAL, A HORRIBLE WAY TO DIE, HOUSE OF THE DEVIL) and Larry Fessenden (HABIT, I SELL THE DEAD).
These Tales are a loving homage to a time when horror and suspense were manifested in the minds of the audience, just as much as they were in the performances themselves. We hope you will take a journey with us, one that hasn't been traversed since the days of Orson Welles, Boris Karloff, and Vincent Price.
Larry Fessenden - The New York City-based horror film director, actor and producer owns Glass Eye Pix, which has produced a number of movies from the new wave of young horror directors, including Ti West’s House of the Devil and The Innkeeper, Jim Mickle’s Stake Land, and Glenn McQuaid's I Sell The Dead. His own directorial works include Habit, The Last Winter, Wendigo, and Beneath.
Glenn McQuaid - Writer and director Glenn McQuaid, born and raised on the north side of Dublin, first collaborated with Larry Fessenden when he coordinated the visual effects on THE ROOST. Since then he has worked on several of Glass Eye Pix productions including THE LAST WINTER, HOUSE OF THE DEVIL and STAKE LAND. McQuaid’s feature debut I SELL THE DEAD was a festival favorite that sold to IFC.
